Old Wives Tail Organic Hair Oil Treatment Review

Since I was 12, I've worn my hair quite long--well past my waist. The thought of cutting it terrifies me, and with that said, I literally trust no one with my hair. When it comes to trimming it up, coloring it, etc., I am the one in charge. With that said, I've recently been slacking when it comes to keeping my hair in its best shape, which has led to dry hair and split ends.

Luckily for me, I came across a product that I hoped would help repair my tresses to their former glory.

Old Wives Tail products are completely organic, chemical free, and 100% natural. Being that I have a fear of screwing my hair up, along with an incredibly sensitive scalp, I found this very appealing.

There are many different Old Wives Tail products, but I received the Organic Argan & Rosemary Oil Treatment.

What I noticed first is that despite its ingredients not mentioning eucalyptus, I found that was exactly what it smelled like. However, they do use many essential oils as fragrance. Perhaps eucalyptus was one of them. I didn't mind the smell at all. In fact, I love the smell of eucalyptus so that was a huge plus for me.

I also noticed that the product didn't seem like much of an oil, but more like a "butter." It was oily, for sure, but it seemed to be in a more solidified form, if that makes sense. It was actually much easier to work with this way.

After checking out the packaging and reading the instructions, I decided to give the product the true test. Could it tame my unruly long hair that's so often plagued with fly-away hairs and frizz?

The directions recommend using Old Wives Tail Organic Treatment on damp hair, which is exactly what I did. I massaged the product into my scalp and throughout my ends. I let the product sit for an hour and then hopped back into the shower and rinsed it out and then shampooed.

Note: For extremely damaged hair, the instructions recommend leaving the product in your hair overnight, wrapped in a warm towel twice a week.

While I was rinsing my hair, there was a noticeable difference right away. My hair felt smooth as I rinsed the water out--kind of like the way your hair feels after you use one of those conditioners from a hair-coloring box. It's a lovely feeling, that's for sure, and it certainly got me excited to see the results.

I blow-dried my hair on low-heat and then used a small dollop of the product (rubbed in between my hands) to smooth over my tresses.

The results?

Well, see for yourself.

My hair was shiny, smooth, and soft. The product definitely did what it said it would.

I'm totally satisfied with Old Wives Tail Organic Hair Oil and I have already been recommending it to those closest to me!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
