Weigh-In Wednesday: 10.2 Lbs Down!

If you've been following my weight loss journey, you know that it all started exactly two weeks ago. Today for Weigh-In Wednesday, I'm excited to announce that so far, I've lost a grand total of...

10.2 Pounds

The first week, I dropped 9 pounds, so this week, I only shed 1.2 pounds. As mentioned previously, my goal on Spark People is to lose 2 pounds per week. Despite that, progress is progress and as long as I'm not gaining, I am perfectly fine with the results.

Making it through Week Two was a challenge.

The second week of weight-loss plans in the past always ended in failure for me. Once the second week hit, I'd give up. I'd quit. This week, I didn't quit, but I have had a rather lousy week.

Moody

This week was filled with cravings and nonstop complaining. I've been a bit temperamental and just generally aggravated--which I can attribute to PMS.

Slacking

While I've done some major stretching 4 out of 7 days this week, I have been completely neglecting my strength training. I did strength training only once this week. Once! Also, I didn't get my cardio in until 8 p.m. tonight due to back pain this morning. At least I got it done though, right?

Stress

School started up on Monday (I school my son through K12's Online Virtual School), and as a result, I have been neglecting my dear readers, which in turn has caused my page views to plummet. Carter's education comes first, of course, but I'm going to work out some kind of "after-school" blog schedule.

Indulging

Today, I overloaded on pizza. I ended up tallying up too many calories during one meal which didn't allow me much more for the day. I managed to stay within my range, but the thought still bummed me out. One slice would have been fine, but I totally overdid it.

Despite the bad week, I've stuck to my guns. I haven't stopped working towards my goal. I may have taken a wrong turn with all of the pizza, but I was still mindful of my intake and I'm still looking forward. Having bad days is normal. It's what you do after the bad day that counts.

Everyone have a great week!
