Sculpt, Condition, and Fill In Your Brows with Lashem Color Strokes Brow Tint & Lift

Growing up, I was teased my by close friends about how I had "no eyebrows." It was all in good fun but as I entered my teenage years, it was a statement that really stayed with me. Of course I had eyebrows; they were just thin and sparse.

That didn't last as I grew older, however.

Thin, sparse eyebrows.

Because of the way my eyebrows were beginning to fill in, I decided the best course of action would be to pluck them. I mean, it couldn't be that bad, right? Wrong. When plucking didn't seem like a viable option for me (Ouch!), I started shaving them. The first few times were total disasters. It led to even thinner, sparse eyebrows that needed quite a bit of "filling in."

Very thin eyebrows after shaving.
Because I so very often shaved my brows way too thin, I had to improvise. I started filling them in with brow pencils. Unfortunately, sometimes the "filling in" left my brows looking fuzzy and, well, just strange.

Today, I try to avoid "overshaving" my brows, but I still need to fill them in from time to time due to the occasional razor mishap. I've tried brow pencil after brow pencil to achieve the look of "normal" brows, but to no avail.

Fortunately, I was recently able to try Lashem Color Strokes Brow Tint & Lift. When the opportunity presented itself, it's no surprise that I jumped on it.

The Lashem Color Strokes Brow Tint & Lift contains lash enhancing serum, which is said to condition your brows. Not only that, but it tints your brows for shape and fullness. The whole idea here is to achieve full, natural looking brows.

The bottle itself is pleasing to the eye: Very shiny and mirror-like, and quite comfortable to hold in the hand. The wand looks like a stick-straight mascara wand. Being that I'm brown-haired beauty, I chose the brunette color choice.

Upon seeing the color, I felt that it was probably a little too light for my brows. I am a brunette, but my natural hair color is a dark brown, more than a light brown (which is what the Lashem Color Strokes Brow Tint & Lift in Brunette appears to be).

Below, you'll see what my brows looked like prior to applying Lashem Color Strokes Brow Tint & Lift.

This is right after shaving and as you can see, I didn't do a very good job. There are numerous "sparse" areas. I was hoping that the Lashem Color Strokes Brow Tint & Lift could help me out with that.

Below, you'll see what my brow looked like after one coat of the brow tint.

And then after two coats.

And finally, after three coats.

As you can see, the Lashem Color Strokes Brow Tint & Lift did fill in those sparse areas, which is exactly what it is designed to do. It makes the eyebrows appear more natural. It gives you the opportunity to sculpt your brows. It doesn't smudge, although I did feel that it dried rather quickly (so you may need to work fast).

However, when it comes to my eyebrows, this is not exactly the look I desire.

You see, I prefer cleaner, neater eyebrows. I like clearly visible starting and stopping points from all angles. For a better idea of how I like my brows, take a look at the two pictures below.

The picture on the left is of the Lashem Color Strokes Brow Tint & Lift. The one on the right is how I typically prefer my brows to look (which is done with eyeshadow, as brow pencils have never worked very well for me).

Now, that's not to say that Lashem Color Strokes Brow Tint & Lift doesn't do it's job; it certainly does. The look is just too, well, untamed. I prefer neatness. With that said, it should be noted that "untamed" eyebrows are totally in right now.

For those like me, however, who like the tried and true, it's not really a trend that I'll be jumping in on anytime soon.

If you're interested in trying out Lashem Color Strokes Brow Tint & Lift, you'll be excited to know that it retails at only $20 (plus, I'll give you a 30% off code below). 1. I'd love to try this stuff!! I thought it was an excellent idea when I was a teenager to get my eyebrow pierced. It eventually ended up getting ripped out while I was on a water slide at a water park, leaving me with a scar and bald spot on just one eyebrow!! Thank you for posting this!!
