Small Bites That Pack a Punch: Cleo BoostaChews Canine Health Supplement

If someone asked you to define the word "dog," what would you say?

For me, a dog represents so many things: loyalty, companionship, love. In short, I could sum up the word "dog" in a single sentence.

1. Man's (and woman's) best friend.

Those of you with dogs know first-hand how they quickly become an important part of the family. For my family, our dog Buddha has become not only a companion, but a protector, an entertainer, a cuddler, and so much more.

Because Buddha is a large mix-breed, we knew that at the age of six, he would be considered a "senior dog." Last year, he crossed this milestone, so we knew it was time to start paying very close attention to his health and well-being. We're constantly looking for new ways to supplement his current diet, to make sure that he is getting all of the nutrients he needs.

Recently, I came across Cleo BoostaChews, a holistic dog health supplement, and was given the opportunity to try it out. Buddha, my 80-pound mix-breed, would act as the "test subject."

Cleo BoostaChews are an all-in-one dietary supplement for dogs, designed to boost your dog's overall general health, energy, and stamina. As Buddha has grown older, we've noticed a decline in his energy levels. Because of this, he's put on quite a bit of weight, and we decided to take charge of his health. After all, he relies on us to keep him in tip-top shape!

Based on what we read about the Cleo BoostaChews, we decided it was worth a shot. Of course, with any new food, supplement, treat, etc., you must monitor your dog closely for any adverse effects. Fortunately, Buddha didn't see any negative side effects, so we gave the green light to continue using BoostaChews over the next couple of weeks to assess their overall effectiveness.

Before discussing the results that Buddha achieved, I want to touch a little more on the product itself.

What exactly are BoostaChews?

Cleo BoostaChews are a supplement for dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes. They are chock full of multivitamins, nutrients, antioxidants, and fatty acids. The vitamins and antioxidants are added to help your canine companion maintain a healthy immune and digestive system. The fatty acids allow your dog to absorb and emulsify fats, which promotes healthy skin and coat.

The formula is great for dogs with allergies and/or sensitive stomachs, is veterinarian tested, and made in the United States with natural ingredients, so you can be sure that you're receiving a safe, high-quality product for your pet.

What are the ingredients in Cleo BoostaChews?

Lecithin, Rice Bran, Flax Seed, White Rice Flour, Rolled Oats, Chicken Powder, Chicken Liver, Powdered Cane Molasses, Calcium Carbonate, Mixed Tocopherols (as a source of Vitamin E), Cod Liver Oil, Powdered Egg, Glycerin, Carrot, Celery, Beet, Parsley, Lettuce, Watercress, Spinach, Wheat Germ, Vitamin Supplements: Riboflavin, A, D3, E, B1, B12

Do you give the bites as treats? How many?

The directions directly on the tub are as follows:

Feed one nugget daily for each 5 pounds of dog's weight. Can be given as a treat or crumbled over regular meals. Feeding may be divided over AM and PM.

Are the BoostChews safe for my small dog?

The Cleo BoostaChews bites are rather small, perfect for dogs both small and large. The texture is quite soft, which means that they're also great for older dogs who may have issues with their teeth.

How much do Cleo BoostaChews cost?

One tub of Cleo BoostaChews has an ARV of $38.99 and can be purchased on Amazon. One tub provides approximately 200 nuggets.

What was your dog's experience with Cleo BoostaChews?

Buddha loves Cleo BoostaChews. As soon as I brought out the tub, he couldn't keep his nose away from it. It was actually hard to get a decent photograph, as Buddha kept nudging the tub and knocking it off of the stool. Clearly, he was excited to find out what was inside!

Because Buddha is an 80 pound dog, and the instructions call for one treat per five pounds of body weight, I was feeding Buddha about 16 BoostaChews per day, divided into two separate feedings (eight in the morning and eight in the evening). As a result, the one tub lasted a total of 12 days, with a morning feeding left over for the 13th day.

I'm not sure that at $38.99 for a 12 ½ day supply is practical for my family. However, for those of you with smaller dogs (between 5 and 20 pounds), your supply would last significantly longer and could potentially be worth the price.

The results, however, were significant. Buddha experienced an increase in energy, and overall, seemed happier. The most significant change, however, was that Buddha experienced a decrease in scratching. The dry, winter air took its toll on his skin, and the BoostaChews provided him with some relief, along with a daily topical aloe treatment.

Below, you'll see a video of Buddha enjoying the BoostaChews.
