Elrique Naturals: Pure Moroccan Rose Water Review

For most of my teenage years, I had beautiful, clear skin. This was a blessing, especially when compared to my peers who were dealing with acne, dry skin, and redness—all of the symptoms associated with puberty. While I was able to enjoy lovely skin throughout this time, that changed as I began to age. My pores became larger and the radiance that once graced my face was gone with the wind. I suppose that's "all a part of growing up," but that doesn't mean there aren't things I can do to stop it.

About a week ago, I had the opportunity to choose two beauty products for review. Because of my skin issues, I decided to try a facial toner. I had never tried a facial toner before, but read that the results are often pretty incredible, especially with everyday use.

Elrique Naturals Pure Moroccan Rose Water is a facial toner made up of 82% organic ingredients including organic aloe leaf juice (which has been successful in improving skin condition).

After I received the Pure Moroccan Rose Water, I wanted to learn a little more about toners in general so I did a little research. As it turns out, facial toners are considered a critical part of any beauty regimen. That's when I realized my error. I had never used a facial toner in my life. After reading on its benefits (tighten pores, adjust skin's pH, remove excess dirt, etc.), I knew I had to implement it into my daily beauty routine.

But first, I had to see if it worked.

Before testing the Pure Moroccan Rose Water, I took a before picture that highlighted my problem areas.

Isn't it lovely?

In the photograph, you can see my pores and the redness around my eyes and cheeks. You may also be able to tell that my eyelids look a little puffy and my skin just has a "loose" look to it. Those are all things that I hoped to improve.

Before we get to the results, I'd like to talk a little more about the product itself, as well as my first impression and experience using the product.

First Impression

Elrique Naturals Moroccan Rose Water came packaged in a small box. Everything looked to be in place at first glance. However, once I removed the plastic covering from the bottle of Rose Water, I noticed there was a liquid on the bottle. While the liquid smelled of roses, I couldn't find a leak on the bottle after drying it off. I'm not sure if this was just a mishap in the packaging process or what, but the label was slightly damaged as a result.

Of course, this doesn't bother me, as the label doesn't affect the product and the bottle itself was not leaking.

The bottle contains 4 fluid ounces of Rose Water, which I believe would be sufficient for twice daily use over the course of three weeks to a month. A little bit of the Rose Water goes a long way.

Elrique Naturals Pure Moroccan Rose water comes equipped with a spray nozzle to make application easier. Just spray a small amount on a cotton ball and apply it to your face in an upward motion. I used the Moroccan Rose Water after washing my face but before moisturizing.

Fragrance

One of the first things that I noticed about the Moroccan Rose Water was that it smells exactly like roses. It's not musky and overpowering like some rose perfumes on the market—it's just natural. It's sweet, floral, subtle, and soft.

Using the Product

After applying Elrique Naturals Pure Moroccan Rose Water to my skin, it felt immediately cool and refreshed. After about 2 or 3 minutes, I could literally feel a slight tightening sensation. This was a welcomed change, because I knew that it was working.

I really liked the way that it made my skin feel and the "dewy" look that it gave me. It was almost like instant radiance—something that my skin had been stripped of over the past several years.

Results

After a week of use, I am excited to say that the redness in my skin has been reduced and some of the radiance has been restored. My pores are a little smaller, although the change isn't significant. It seems that the toner tightens them up immediately after use, but it doesn't appear to last very long.

Overall, I'm thrilled with the results because facial redness has always been an issue for me. One thing that didn't change, however, was the puffiness around my eyes. I think that more sleep might be able to cure that.

So, would I recommend Elrique Naturals Pure Moroccan Rose Water? Absolutely. I recommend it more for those of you dealing with facial redness. It seems to relieve that almost instantly, which is something that I am extremely happy with.
