Ohio Renaissance Festival - Visit The Faire + Discount on Adult & Child Tickets

For those of you who know me, you know that I love history, so it should come as no surprise that one of my all time favorite events is the Ohio Renaissance Festival. Every year, my husband, children, and I make the one hour car trip to Waynesville, Ohio to step back in time to a 16th Century English village.

The Ohio Ren Fest is situated on a 30-acre permanent venue which gives visitors the chance to enjoy over 400 years of fun in a single day—or every weekend between September 3 and October 23, if you so choose! As a visitor to the village at the Ohio Renaissance Faire, you'll be warmly and possibly not-so-warmly greeted by dueling swordsmen, rowdy pirates, nobles, peasants, and jugglers.

Upon entering the castle gates, the air is filled with scents and smells of the foods from the Renaissance Period. Once you're in, you'll be ready to enjoy all of the festivities. Whether you're attending the Ohio Renaissance Faire solo, with your significant other, or with your entire family—children, too, are welcome to this family-friendly affair—you'll find something for everyone!

Take a walk around and attend one of 100 shows on 11 different stages or check out the 135 one-of-a-kind arts and crafts shops. If you're more daring, hop on one of the human-powered rides or practice games of skill such as archery or castle-climbing!

More of a laid back kind of person? Then sit back and cheer your favorite knight to victory in the thrilling Full-Armored Tournament Joust or simply admire the over 150 costumed characters attending for your entertainment! See time-honored crafts like glassblowing, stone-carving, blacksmithing, leather tooling, boot making, and so much more!

Once you've seen as much as there is to see at the Ohio Ren Fest, take a break and feast like Royalty on juicy, giant roasted turkey legs, fresh baked bread bowls overflowing with soups and stews, fish 'n' chips, steak-on-a-stake, succulent roasted corn on the cob and a wide variety of the finest ales and wines! There is literally something for everyone's taste buds!

If you're at the Ohio Renaissance Festival long enough, you may even have the chance to sneak a peak of the Queen and her entourage as they parade around the fairgrounds once per day!

Don't forget to swing by the Medieval Castle, or the "Tower of London." The castle is also known to many faire-goers as the "Dungeon of Doom" as it features authentic medieval punishment devices and their history.

Before you leave, don't forget to purchase a handmade piece, like a hand-bound leather journal, ceramic figurines, or even a Renaissance Faire costume to wear next time you attend.

If you're interested in attending, you'll be happy to know that I, in partnership with US Family Guide, am offering an Ohio Renaissance Festival discount for you today!
