The Most Comfortable Bra? - Coobie Seamless Bras

I first heard about Coobie Seamless Bras last year when a friend of mine was raving about hers. I checked them out on Facebook and saw more raving in the comments section of their posts—people love their Coobie Bras. Needless to say, when I had the opportunity to get one, I jumped on it.

One of Coobie Seamless Bras most popular styles is the Scoopneck. This is the design that I chose. It's available in neutral colors, as well as fun colors, like Hot Pink, Lollipop Red, Tangerine, Sea Foam, Candy Stripes, and Polka Dot. They have two sizes—One Size and Full Size.

One Size - Fits bra sizes 28A to 36DD
Full Size - Fits bra sizes 38A to 42DD

The bra that I received was in Espresso Brown, a dark, chocolate-y color. My first impression was that it looked comfortable. It wasn't bulky at all, like some of my other bras, and felt smooth and stretchy. It seemed a little small though, so I was a bit worried about the fit.

This is the bra without the padding.

Fortunately, the fit wasn't an issue at all. I am a typical 40C and the full size Coobie Scoopneck fit me like a glove. The back is designed to rest smoothly across the back without riding up or scrunching.

At first, I wore it with the removable padding. This didn't really work well for me. It made my breasts look awkward, because the padding only covered a small area. So, it looked like I had round breasts with a small pointy area. I feel that women with smaller breasts might benefit from the padding. I ended up removing mine.

This is the bra with the padding inside.
Coobie Bras are seamless, with no hooks or clasps. I did notice that there are "reinforced" areas which help with the fit of the bra. For example, in the center of the front, there is an elastic area which keeps you from experiencing the dreaded "uniboob" (where both breasts squeeze together to form the illusion of one, giant boob).

There is also extra elastic along the sides of the breasts where your armpit meets. This, I believe, is designed to hold you in and prevent "overflow." It also has a good amount of stretch here, so if you have a wider torso, the fit will still be correct.

The straps are adjustable, which I have to have on all of my bras. The Coobie website claims that the straps are also removable, but I could not, for the life of me, see how that is so. It seems that the straps (where they attach to the front) are sewn and/or glued down, whereas the ones in the back are attached to a metal ring that does not open up. I prefer my straps on anyway.

The bra is made of a Nylon and Spandex blend so it's soft, comfortable, and stretchy.

I love the large band at the bottom. I feel that this provides some extra support and prevents "underboob" (when your breasts start to dip below the band on your bra) that seems to happen to me far too often as my bras begin to wear down.

I noticed a very minor issue with stitching on one area of the bra, which you can see in the image below. It doesn't seem to effect the fit or the smoothness, however.

Overall, I found this bra to be soft, supportive, and comfortable enough to sleep in—as a matter of fact, I think it's the most comfortable bra to sleep in. It's also supportive enough to wear out and about. I would definitely recommend it to my friends. The prices are very reasonable, ranging from $20 to $22. Every now and then, they'll host sales, so you can get them even cheaper!
