Bonafide Baby Car Seat Cover Review

During the second week of June, my sister Jessica gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Jess had chosen a nautical theme for her daughter's nursery, complete with pink and gray chevron. Needless to say, when I saw the pink chevron patterned baby car seat cover from Bonafide Baby, I knew that it would be the perfect gift.

The Bonafide Baby Car Seat Cover is an essential gift for new mothers, seasoned mothers, and mothers to be. It may not be high on your list of items needed, but it should be. Why? Well, for numerous reasons, some of which are mentioned below:

  • Prevent bright sunlight from bothering your baby
  • Stop the sun from beating down on your baby in the summer
  • Keep baby warm in the winter
  • Stop insect from getting near your baby when outdoors

The car seat cover is just as beautiful and vibrant in person as it is on the Bonafide Baby website. It features a cotton exterior, a polyester interior, and a soft plush backing.

The plush backing was perhaps my favorite part, as it can double as a blanket during the cold winter months here in Ohio. It is extremely soft and cuddly—I almost wish they had one in adult sizes!

The Bonafide Baby Car Seat Cover fits most carrier car seats and features velcro straps to keep the cover in place when carrying your baby to and from your vehicle.

The Bonafide Baby Car Seat Cover is $21.95, which is more than affordable. As an added bonus, it also comes with a free stroller hook—a $10.95 value. The hook is ideal for clipping your diaper bag, purse, or tote to your stroller or shopping cart when you're out and about. Everyone knows that a mom needs her hands to be free, especially with an infant.

The car seat cover is adorned with the Bonafide Baby logo, which gives it one extra dose of cuteness.

To make it easier on mom, the Bonafide Baby Car Seat Cover is machine washable. Just wash it on the "Delicate" setting and hang to air dry. You can also iron it on low heat (but avoid ironing the plush side) to get all of the wrinkles out.

My sister really liked the car seat cover, but there were a few aesthetic issues that bothered her some. On the chevron side, there were two stains. It appeared that something had been spilled on the areas, although the areas were completely dry. This is exactly what the car seat cover looked like right out of the bag.

Despite this, the stains do not affect the function of the car seat cover.
