How To Get Ready To Outsource In Your Business

When it comes to growing and scaling a business successfully, then the things that you have to be focusing on is outsourcing tasks to others.

This can be something that you're perhaps not great at or just don't enjoy doing that can take you more time than it would take someone else, but these are also things that are essential for your business, things such as admin and finance or even marketing and design. Whatever it is that you feel is not your strong point in your business, then these are the things that you should be outsourcing.

However, when it comes to knowing where to start many can become overwhelmed and therefore they end up doing all the tasks by themselves and find the whole process of building a business is very stressful, so in this post we’re going to share with you how to get started with outsourcing in your business.

Make a list:

The very first step in getting started with outsourcing is to take a sheet of paper - it doesn't matter if it's digital or physical, and to split it into two sections. The first section is all of the things that you have to do in your business on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Just do a brain dump of all the tasks that you do in your business to keep it running, then on the other section you're going to list out all the things that you don't enjoy doing. Then a list of things that you do enjoy doing - this means that only the things that you enjoy doing and that you're able to do are the things that you should be focusing on - anything else should be outsourced.

Start advertising:

Once you know all the things that you need to be outsourcing, then you need to find someone who can do these things. Maybe someone who only works for you a few hours per week to get started, or it can be that you need to split tasks across different people who have a special set of skills, such as someone like Alejandro Padua to take care of the legal side of things in your business, or even someone who is highly specialised in web design. You need to go out and find people through asking for recommendations by posting on job sites or simply by leveraging the network that you already have and asking if anyone would be interested in working for you.

Create an onboarding process:

In order for someone to come on and work with you effectively, then they need to know exactly what it is that they need to be doing.

This involves you creating a simple onboarding process for them. This is basically just a system that you're going to use over and over every time that you work with someone - this can include a checklist of the tasks that they need to do on a daily basis, or it can also include a link for all of the softwares you use, including passwords and logins so that you're not wasting time emailing back and forth all the time.
