How To Make Your Outfits Look More Expensive

Buying expensive clothes might not be at the top of your priority list right now. After all, you have bills to pay and debt to deal with. If you want to get around this then one way for you to do that would be to make the clothes that you have now look way more expensive.

Visit a Tailor

So many people believe that tailoring is expensive, but this isn’t the case at all. A quick fix is sometimes all you need to take an outfit to that next level, and most of the time it’s probably cheaper than going out to buy a brand-new outfit. It’s rare that you’ll find an outfit that fits you perfectly right from the store rail too, and by having your clothes tailored you can be sure to get that stylish look without breaking the bank.

Accessorise

Accessories can bring out the best of any outfit. Try and wear a necklace, or even some earrings to jazz up your look. If you want to take things to that next level then look into cosmetic dentistry too, as this will boost your confidence while also making you feel like a Hollywood star.

Launder

Whenever you buy clothing, it’s important that you pay attention to the tag that is on the inside of the fabric. This usually tells you how you should be washing the item, and this can make a huge difference to how it looks when worn. Fading, shrinking, wrinkling and stretching are all signs of cheap fabric but if you follow the instructions carefully then there’s no reason at all why you can’t make them last years longer and look way better.

Workmanship

When you’re out bargain hunting and you see something that you absolutely love, the first thing that you should do is look at the buttons and the zips. Even the cheapest of clothing should at least have sturdy craftsmanship. If it doesn’t then put it back on the rail and walk away. If you don’t, you run the risk of your hem falling or even loose threads. To make the best decision when purchasing bargain clothing, check the zip fastens and also make sure that there are no holes, loose buttons or other red flags.

Avoid Logos

If you love beading or sequins, then you may be cheapening your outfit without even realising. Embellishments can wear out over time and when they start falling off, you’ll soon find that they look really old and tired. Embroidery should also be avoided because eventually the stitching will become loose and it will have a huge impact on that timeless look that you’re going for.

Avoid Trends

Trends will fade away over time. There’s no point in you spending a small fortune on something that’s trendy, only to never wear it again. If you want to avoid this then go for looks that are timeless. This can include dark denim jeans or even a leather jacket. You’ll dress way better, pick up outfits for half the price and your confidence will be boosted too.
